{Senior 2011 ~ Deanna Kaye}

I'm beyond excited to blog about this senior session. Seriously....she's gorgeous. I couldn't be more excited that she asked me to do her senior pictures.
In honor of how fun it is to be a senior in high school, I thought it would be fun to do something different for my blog posts of seniors! I asked her to answer a few questions for me that I'll share here on my blog- sort of like she's introducing herself.
Here we go......ENJOY!

My name is.....Deanna Kaye Glenn

I'm a senior at Madill High School

What I'm most looking forward to during my senior year is...
my freedom and the lack of classes

My most favorite thing to do is hang out with my family and friends.

When I grow up, I want to be...
Successful, but I haven't come up with a career yet.

What makes me different than everyone is my life story and the goals I have in life.

{Brown Eyed Girl}

This gorgeous little lady is one of my favorite babies....ever! She endured a VERY hot session, but I think it was totally worth it and I hope mom and dad think so too! I really had a tough time deciding what my favorite images were to post, but here's a sample of my session with this brown eyed beauty...

{Klaassen Family}

Oh these girls are so sweet. SO SWEET. At 4, big sister is already a pro at being a big sister AND having her photo taken! And oh this sweet baby is just perfection. This family has been so blessed with these girls and they are loving every second of them. I'm truly happy for you guys! I hope you enjoy your images, Klaassen family.

{A little something to start off the week}

I am working on more images to share with you, but I absolutely had to post this one. It makes me smile, she is a doll. Wishing everyone a great week!

{Surprises}

I thought I had been given plenty of surprises for 2010. I really thought I had met my quota for the year. Then it occurred to me, there are "happy" surprises too. I wasn't giving the happy ones enough credit. Bring 'em on! They come in all sizes and sometimes are so easily ignored, but I've realized even the small ones don't seem so small when you are paying attention. My little sunshine makes me laugh so much and everyday she showers me with amazing surprises. I will never get enough of that. Ever. I'm so scared for the day that she's embarrassed of me- but I'm categorizing that into the "bad", and surely that won't happen in 2010- she's only 2 (I guess that would be a surprise)! Obviously, I could go on and on about her, but I wanted to encourage everyone to realize the small, even tiny, happy things that happen around you. It can help make a bumpy ride....well, a little less bumpy. I know we read inspiring things about paying attention to the small stuff and all, but consider this another reminder (less the amazing and inspiring verbiage).

Speaking of surprises- and this is a happy AND big one, I was surprised last week with a dozen of these peach lovelies at my door. That's right, not red. Peach. That means (to me anyway) much more thought went into this decision on the sender's end. VERY thoughtful. Props, fist bumps and high fives all need to be directed at my awesome hubby.

Have a great week!

{That look that I love}

I 1,000% enjoyed this session for many reasons, but mostly because I LOVE watching the look on a mamma's face when she blocks out everything but her little one. You know, that moment that you have to snap yourself out of in order to continue a conversation with someone because you are so proud of everything in that little being and you just can't peel your eyes off of them. Pride, love and pure bliss. I am blessed to feel it every day and it makes me smile when I see someone else have that moment, so it's great to be able to capture it. It's all over her face- she adores this little guy, and he is non stop! Here are some shots from their session.

Alright, so these last three are some of my very favorites.  If I had studio space, I think I might hang all three of these up- great big!

{Rainy Day in...July?}

We made a huge attempt to go to a carnival this morning and I was so excited to take my little sunshine! We went and had a family breakfast, loaded back up, talked it up on the way and finally arrived. It opened at 10am and we were trying to beat the heat and the crowds, so we arrive at the park at about 10:15. It's misting. Who cares about mist?! So, we get unloaded and they have these little vendor tents, which I can NEVER pass up, so I start checking them out and we were nearly to the opposite end of where we parked when it happend. RAIN DUMP. So, my brilliant hubby had found 2 very cheap mini umbrellas in the car and grabbed them- thank goodness. He pulls them out and London had to have her very own, so one of us was going to get soaked- we jumped into one of the vendor tents thinking it would only be a minute. We wait and wait.....and wait. About 15 minutes later, it hasn't let up so we just made a run for it. Bummer. No carnival. Maybe next time. So, we came home and played in the rain a bit...I think I totally took childhood for granted because I sure love watching her experience everything!
